Use It Up!

Like every other papercrafter, I have hoards , stacks, and piles of stuff that i bought and don't use. I have started to try and make a conscious effort to deplete these stock piles. My newest brainwave was to refurbish my brads. Cheap brads from the dollar store I started covering with patterned paper using sticky strip. Great way to use stuff up, AND turn any brad into coordinating with current project. Also much more cost efficient than speciality brads.

Dollarstore - all year long.....

My favorite projects, are ALWAYS alterables. So with that being said, the dollarstore has no shortage of stuff to alter. My favorites are their sweet little birdhouses, their woodensigns, and little boxes. This time I picked up a few clipboards to try out...

I sent some calendars through to a local printing company and they printed them off for me...40 calendars for $3!! How can you beat that. Also from the dollarstore I got the bullnose clips. My cropodile made it super easy to put the holes in each corner, which I strung with twine so it can easily be hung up (twine also from the dollarstore) The little mini notepad I made myself from plain copy paper.

Ingredients:
K&Company- designer paper
Ink: So Saffron (Stampin Up!)
Embellishments:
Rick rack (Stampin Up!)
Seam binding (Martha Stewart)
Bakers twine (Stampin Up!)
misc. buttons & brads
Mod Podge
Dollarstore finds:
clipboard
bullnose clip
twine
brads

Here's the card I did for the recent sketch challenge.

I'm not a blogger...but who wants to be left out??

So this is my first post...so it's either going to go 2 ways..either it will be my last,LOL OR I will go to my "archives" a year from now and think "Geez what a terrible first post" LOL Hopefully the latter.....

I have dozens and dozens and dozens of papercraft blogs bookmarked that I check every so often, love reading them so I thought...hey why not I think I may have something creative and crafty to share, actually I have lots of creativity that I love to share and this is the only medium that I don't use to share so why not, what's there to lose? Other than my time which feels hard pressed now....with that being said here is a card....an old card, a favorite card.
